Unlike a chunk of foam, it goes in and comes out in seconds, so you can switch between open and muted tone from one song to the next.

Built for wider string spacing.
At 90mm wide, the XL is longer than our 72mm guitar models, so it spans the strings on most basses and other instruments with wider string spacing. The top has a gentle radius to follow the curve of most bass bridges. It starts at 14mm tall, and the top foam compresses enough to fit even low-action basses. The included foam strips build it up to about 22mm for higher setups. You’ll just need enough room between the bridge and the bridge pickup to slide it in sideways, then rotate it into place.

Customize your fit.
Each XL arrives with one foam strip installed and three more in the bag. Most basses need one or two of the extra strips to get the right pressure, so plan on adding some. Add them one at a time, since strips stay put once they’re on.

Give it a quick retune.
Muting strings this heavy takes real pressure, so the XL pushes your tuning a touch sharp, just like the foam mutes built into vintage basses. Tune up once it’s in and you’re set.

Hand-built in Nashville with a precision PLA+ frame and dual-density foam for long-lasting performance and a secure, damage-free fit.

Finish:
Ebony (Black)

What’s included:

1 Dead Ringer XL

3 extra foam strips for height and tone adjustment

1 Dead Ringer sticker

Setup card with QR code for quick install tips

Shipping
Orders placed before 1:00 PM Central usually ship the same day.
