Quick steps:

1. Adjust the fit — If necessary, add extra foam strips until it fits firmly under your strings. For the ideal fit, all six strings should leave moderate indentations in the Dead Ringer’s top foam, which expand back after removal.

2. Insert & twist — Hold it sideways under your strings, flat side facing the bridge. Press down gently while twisting clockwise into place.

3. Slide to the bridge — Press down and slide it until it’s flush against your bridge.

tip: the strings should press firmly into the top foam, not just touch it. if it feels loose or isn’t muting all six strings, add another strip — it’s better a little too tight than too loose.
