Why We Made Dead Ringer
We’re Derek Webb and Abbie Parker, two working musicians who built Dead Ringer out of necessity.
Derek needed a way to get that rubber bridge sound on the road without bringing multiple guitars. Nothing like it existed, so we started experimenting and building something ourselves.
What began as a simple solution turned into something we kept reaching for on stage, in the studio, and in writing sessions. Once it worked, it felt obvious other players might want it too.
Every Dead Ringer is built by hand here in Nashville, tested in real playing environments, and designed to install in seconds without permanently changing your instrument.
We’re a small operation, still doing everything ourselves, and still making them the same way we started.
