Dead Ringer Pro is 72mm wide and 13mm tall, or about 21mm with all three included foam strips added. Use them to dial in the height for your guitar. On electrics, you'll just need enough room between the bridge and the bridge pickup to slide it in sideways, then rotate it into place.

So far, so good! It really does give a unique "vibe" to the guitar I play all the time. Kinda like a reset on playing, since the result is so different? I've bought 4 now - one for myself, three for friends/family. I find it's most vibe-y when you plug your acoustic in, and use a good amount of reverb/delay. I appreciate the inclusion of several shims to make sure it can fit virtually any acoustic. Nicely done!

I'm impressed. It took a few seconds to add a couple of the supplied riser strips and rolled it under the strings. I put it on a P bass with flats and it's exactly the old school flavor I wanted. The dampening and sound is much better than I was able to achieve with random foam I had laying around.

It’s fun, and easy to use which is no small thing. Just slide it in place and turn it upright, and you’re good to go. I appreciate the simplicity. It’s perfect for playing quietly just as a practical matter, but the sound is also good.

the moment I put the dead ringer on my Taylor, it gave it such a warm and vintage tone that’s unmatched. For the price it’s well worth it.

I really appreciate the sound this makes; it basically makes the guitar sound like a whole new instrument, maybe like a marimba! But it helps create a really lovely "vibe" for certain types of music. I am really happy I got it!

I spent lot of money and time trying to get the rubber bridge sound. Rolled wool felt, wool felt on weather-stripping, wool felt on those rubber wedges that piano tuners use…spent an easy $40 getting a-a-a-lmost there by various routes.

I got a message for a project on SoundBetter for a rubber bridge overdub on a pop song. Ordered a 2-pack from Etsy which arrived in two days just when the project was due. Added one extra height pad and tucked under one of my Taylor’s bridge’s..worked perfectly first time out..

I'm a "weekend warrior" singer/acoustic guitarist with a large, diverse repertoire. I gig 5-6 times month. Got my Dead Ringer last week and am having Big Fun trying it out on random tunes from my playlist. The change in tone has "re-vitalized" a bunch of tunes I've been playing for years, causing me to re-think how I play them. Gonna try it out for a live audience tomorrow.

I put the Deadringer on a Gretsch Jim Dandy parlor model, and immediately I got inspired. Some new music is in the making. I put one strip cut to 2/3 of the length and a whole strip over it, to compensate the hight. (Thinner side under the treble strings)

Fun little device, didn’t need the extra padding for my j-45 will low action. Going to order a few more for multiple fiddles, Rosewood pairs perfectly. Great product!

Excellent product

This is the first purchased I’ve made from an Instagram ad and the most satisfying product I’ve ever purchased. I bought the dead ringer for the acoustic guitar and for the electric guitar. I’ve (FINALLY!!!) been able to get the sound I’ve always wanted!!! I hated how I couldn’t avoid the ringing and the extra reverb on recordings… until now.
The electric guitar dead ringer works well on my acoustic concert size ukulele too. Ready to record all of my songs in the studio now! Thank you so much!

The Dead Ringer Pro is worth the price. Trying to find a rubber bridge that fit my Taylor guitars AND worked like I wanted them to was a near impossible mission... UNTIL the Dead Ringer Pro came out. As an astute collector of various guitar gadgets, I love this one the most.

Simple enough to use but a bit difficult to get just the right amount of string resonance with the foam shims. It’s almost a little TOO dead sounding on my OM, so I may add another shim and try it on my dreadnought since it has a taller bridge.

I also thought it would be made of rubber rather than foam & plastic, so it being slightly more fragile was a little unexpected. I can’t fault anyone for my expectations, though! It does create a very interesting sound and isn’t a huge investment by any means, so I am overall happy with the purchase.

Thanks Dallas, this is a great review. You've got the tuning logic exactly right. Fewer foam strips = less pressure into the foam = more resonance, so you can dial the OM back from "too dead" without moving it to another guitar. On materials: that's a deliberate choice, not a compromise. The PLA+ body is deceivingly strong and extremely light. We didn't want the Dead Ringer adding any unnecessary weight or mass to your guitar, since that affects tone too. Treat it like any piece of gear and it'll last a long time. Enjoy the sound!

Way cooler than I expected. I don't know what a "rubber bridge" guitar is but this thing is awesome and I've been jamming out on acoustic since I got it! I'll tell anyone to get one if these
